Marketing Intern

Our Marketing team is looking for a talented, motivated individual to join our team this summer as a Marketing Intern. This person will assist with outreach efforts and communication projects to help educate the disability community about the ABLEnow program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with existing and prospective customers using effective outreach methods including traditional and social media.
  • Assist with the research and development of content for marketing channels.
  • Make recommendations to improve performance of marketing campaigns.
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
  • Periodically attend outreach events to educate the disability community about ABLEnow.
  • Occasionally assist with Virginia529 marketing assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; college student with a focus on Marketing, Communications, Disability Studies or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate program information at expos and in other forms of interpersonal contact
  • Desire to work with the disability community
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some night and weekend hours may be required
