Providing access to your account to others

account-access.jpg

Did you know you can provide view-only access for your account to others, such as a spouse, grandparent, beneficiary or financial adviser?

To add or update authorized individuals for your account, log in and complete an Account Access Authorization form. Find the form under "Manage My Accounts" then "Forms/Other Account Changes".

Authorized individuals can discuss account information with Virginia529 employees in person or via phone. They also can create their own unique log-in credentials to see account details online.

Once you’ve authorized a user, encourage him or her to visit Virginia529.com, select the "My Account" button in the upper right corner and select "Create Account". Remind each individual to have the following information handy:

  • Social Security number or taxpayer identification number - must match the number provided on the Account Access Authorization form
  • Account number of one of the accounts for which they are an authorized individual
  • Zip code
